Got mine yesterday too! Are you going to bring in all of the forms on your visit day?Finally received the admission packet in the mail. Took exactly 2 weeks. Still extremely pumped
Ohh crap. I mailed mine back. I didnt want to go to the visit. I thought it was the only way. And i paid online.
I submitted my secondary months ago and have been completed for months, but I told them and even on my aacomas app, I have an incoming MCAT. I just got the score and went from my 24-->27. I have a 3.48sGPA and 3.44 cGPA. What are the odds that they HAVENT reviewed me yet and that I can maybe even be pushed forward into the review process since I sent my app in early? I have been told by all advisers that if you get reviewed, you will never get rereviewed even if you have changes in mcat or gpa 🙁. If you are under review or have been reviewed, do you get a notice? I am really hoping they haven't yet and that I may be reviewed after next week when they get my new MCAT.
I doubt they have looked at your file yet. I retook my MCAT and schools either did not look at my file or did not send me a secondary until they received my retake score. Oh yeah and make sure you go to MCAT Thx and resend your score to AACOMAS. Then keep checking your MSUstatus to make sure they receive the updated score.

Also, I contacted AACOMAS after my MSU status had not changed for about a week and this is what I found out.
"All newly verified applications and any application updates that are completed by Tuesday morning are sent once a week, on Tuesday morning and made available to the colleges on Wednesday. You will not see the release date of your application for a few days (until approximately Thursday afternoon) to allow time for the colleges to download the application/data. Please note, the colleges have varying schedules for downloading and acting upon applications."
So if you go into MCAT Thx tonight and send your scores to AACOMAS they will have them by Monday or Tuesday and they will send your updated application to MSU on Wednesday. That means by Thursday or Friday when you check your MSUstatus the new score will appear as received.
Thank you! I already took care of the whole Thx to AACOMAS/resubmitting AACOMAS ordeal the second I got my score because my #1 school is MSUCOM since I am a Michigan resident and I love MSUCOM. I am just worried about them reviewing it because I did not put down my retake until 1 month after I was complete at MSUCOM, but I did it before they began accepting students in the first week of September.
If you are really concerned you could call or email to ask them if they got your updated score. Or you could tell them that you heard some schools do not look at a file more than once even if they retook the MCAT and would like to know if that is one of their policies.
Hello all, I'm waiting to be verified by aacomas and was wondering if people can confirm that the evaluator questions stay the same through out the year. I want to give the forms to my evaluators so they can start working on it so I have a quick turn around
I did call today, but the person that answered the phone did not seem very... helpful. I just wanted to see if any other students know if I will find out about being reviewed. I was told that I would find out, but I don't feel so confident of this person's answer.
I'm sure both are fine; yours is just faster 😉
Yup, did the same here. Paid the FULL amount. Would love to visit the school though. Can't make it unfortunately.

How are you planning to fill in the VISA TYPE and VISA NUMBER blanks on the Professional Application for Admission form? (I'm assuming you haven't got the F1 VISA yet)

Just left them blank. When I am at the visit day I'll ask if its needed.
Does anyone know if or when MSUCOM sends out rejection letters?
The closer Wednesday gets the more nervous i get
Especially when last Wednesday was so silent 🙁
Considering we are the only three who seem to be posting here; that must mean that we are the only three they still need to send acceptance letters to. LOL, JK. 🙂

I got verified by AACOMAS on September 28th, and I still havent heard from MSUCOM at all... How long did it take to get the secondary from MSUCOM?

I think its pretty early in the game still. I think there was an AOA conference last week so they didn't do acceptances.

Thanks hopefully we (if u didn't) can get our secondaries this week and get the show on the road
get the eval forms and that essay done in advance. Then u can send immediately after u get the secondary.

Got the whole thing done just waiting to send it.. Only problem is the doctor writing my eval won't have it done till last week of October or first week of November.. But everything else is ready to go

Can You try to get someone else to do it? Coz think about it...U have one month for them to receive it...I'd say You should be able to make it, if post office works fine by Nov 9th. Allow 3-5 days for them to receive (mine were like 2 days), so You can see I can be borderline...hmmmm. On the other hand, If he knows You well I would probably wait.

Yeah man idk what to do.. I Worked in the ER with him for a while and he is an MSUCOM alum not saying that'll help but who did you have write yours? I have an RN that knew me for. 4 years and him but maybe I should ask someone else ahhh I'm still waitin on the secondary though..
Just email them, follow the directions in the secondary invitation, for requesting an extension. Explain that one of the people writing your LOR will be out of town and unable to submit by your deadline.
One of my letters had been mailed but not received on the day it was due. I asked for the extension and they quickly gave it to me and then my letter showed up the very next day.
That's awesome thanks man sorry this whole process is hectic lol
