So I know this has been discussed before but whats the verdict? are people doing better with MTB2/MTB3 or MTB2 alone or Step up to step 2. Just trying to stick to one source and use that with UW since I only have about 5 weeks. Thank you for any advice in help.

if you plan on it as a sole source then MTB is what most recommend but if you use DIT then step up to step II is good since DIT does a great job of clarifying points, rectifying errors and adding in all the left out information from step up

Back in the day (well, almost two years ago), when I took CK, I started with DIT+SU, but IMHO DIT for CK is inferior to DIT for step1 and I absolutely hated SU, so I quickly shifted to First Aid. Used that as my sole resource combined with Q-banks. The advantage of using FA is that you are (most likely) familiar with the format after having read FA1. My approach earned me a score of 264.

So, in short, for step 2: FA>MTB>SU. With 5 weeks of dedicated prep (?) you should easily be able to go over FA 3-4 times and complete UW+USMLERx+Kaplan Q-banks. If you don't have dedicated prep-time, go with MTB and complete as many Q's as you possibly can.

Taking step 3 soon, and since the score really doesn't matter, I'm gonna go with MTB to save time.

Good luck
