I'm starting a compounding only pharmacy that does not accept insurance. I'm still going to bill insurance for vaccinations and stuff, but no Rx insurance.

I did the Outcomes Training last night and it seems very reasonable. I have to put in the NABP number of my pharmacy. Does this mean I can only do MTM on my own patients? I don't accept any insurance, so will anything even register with Outcomes? I will have the time, therefore, I would like to do as much MTM as possible. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks

Eligible patients are identified through the NABP of the pharmacy where they fill their RXs so no, if you don't bill insurance, they won't be linked to you. You should be able to register with Outcomes as a contract pharmacist; if eligible patients don't have a pharmacy nearby that provides MTM, they can be sent your way.

I don't think MTM is a unicorn. I do think it's unrealistic, if not impossible, in the retail setting.
