From last year's MU-COM thread a MU-COM representative actually replied saying no substitution:

But that thread also mentions they don't verify the pre reqs until after you get accepted
- MU-COM does not render decisions on whether or not a class satisfies the prerequisite unless the applicant is admitted. Until a final decision is rendered, we default to what is reported on the AACOMAS application.
So you could still apply to Marian, find out if you get accepted and then discuss your course situation with them. If they keep insisting you take the course, then you can take a quick course over the spring or summer semester at a community college.
I just feel you shouldn't give up on a school because of this one requirement. You never know, this school might be the only acceptance you get this cycle (although I hope you get a lot more)
