Hi everyone, I am 3rd year a pharmacy student and was wondering what you all think about studying for the law exam for a few different states at the same time. I am new to this and have just barely started pharmacy law class. Hoping to take the law exam in approx a year or so. Thanks!

Don't do it. Go one by one, trust me.

Definitely go one by one. If you want more than one license by exam (home state and residency state for example), then take the MPJE for the one you need sooner (residency) then take the one for your home state after taking time to study for it. You usually have a certain time period to get licensed by exam after graduation (a year I think most of the time) without an exception. Use all the time you need for the second exam.

So I’m assuming this is so there is no confusion. Thanks to both of you!

Yes. Federal controlled substance laws are pretty much the same across the board but there are so many small differences, you can never assume. Some states follow the 72 hour CII partial fill law, some follow the federal fill within 30 days of written date laws. Every state varies on how long to keep Rx records, days things must be reported to board (address change, etc). Trying to keep them all in your head at the same time is nearly impossible. I take an exam, dump it and start working on the next.
