I am wondering if I am able to accept multiple schools and then choose later which schools I withdrawal from. I just received an acceptance but need to make my deposit in two weeks and I am waiting to hear back from my top choice school. Will accepting an offer affect my chances at all with being accepted at other schools? Do they share info? Thanks!

I would just call and ask the admissions people at each school for a deposit deadline extension. I was in this same situation where my top school was my last interview and I just asked the schools who had accepted me if they could extend the deadline for me until I heard back from the last school. I think most schools understand that students want to weigh out their options and find the best fit. Every school that I talked to allowed me to extend. Good luck!

I looked this up and I believe that you are advised not to hold multiple seats. BUT that being said, they know that most do this anyways. So I believe in March, some schools report to ASCO about their admissions decisions. And according to opted.org, a student has until May 15th to make a final decision and to withdraw from schools that they do not plan on attending in the fall.

^What I've looked up in the past squares with what QtSami1 said.
