hi all!

can anyone tell me why serum beta 2 microglobulin is used as a prognostic indicator in multiple myeloma...i know its an indicator of glomerular filtrate ..but how? wat if therez no renal destruction in MM.. how does it act as a prognostic indicator then??😕
