This is quite complicated but hopefully someone will have an answer for me. I have attended a foreign institution and afterwards attended 2 different colleges in the US. The classes that i took abroad appear on the transcripts of both US institutions because i transferred the credit to both (to be able to cover pre reqs). When i apply how do i put it in my application. the real issue is that the 2 different US colleges have my foreign classes written in differently (like renaming the courses to fit with their course offerings.) So i cant put in what my US transcript has (as is normally done for foreign work) because there are 2 versions of what the classes are called.

Call AMCAS. They are super nice once you make it through being on hold for a 1/2 hour.

In general, you wanna put the exact name and grade on the transcript issued by the institution where you originally took each class (not what it appears when it got transferred to another institution) since you will need to send them a transcript from every undergraduate/graduate institution you have enrolled at.

I had this happen to me too, and emailed AMCAS about it. They told me you list the class under the institution where you originally took the class exactly as its listed on that schools transcript and you do not list it under the other schools. You can call them to confirm as they are very helpful but you basically ignore it on the other transcripts.

The problem is that you don't provide transcripts for foreign institutions. AMCAS will only look at transcripts from US or Canadian schools.

Ah my foreign school was US accredited so a different situation. Either way- call them! They are very helpful and can give you a straight answer better than we can!
