Does anyone that has been accepted know if there is a FB group? I'm beginning to look for places to live and possible roommates.

Hi! I tried searching and it doesn't look like there is one, so I decided to make one! Search for MUSC DPT Class of 2018 and ask to join the group! 🙂

I am on the alternate list and haven't heard anything yet. Fingers crossed. I wish they would tell us what number we are/how many typically get in from the list.

The deadline for those accepted on Feb 27th to confirm that they wish to attend MUSC is this Friday, March 13th. So this week they should already be moving through people on the alternate list as some of those accepted in regular decision decline. I know someone who was accepted to MUSC and has declined to go somewhere else, so that's one person already off of the list!

Yes, I am!! I'm a Charleston native and live here now. I went to U.Va. for college but really am looking forward to living in Charleston for graduate school!! I love my city!! 🙂

Hey I was curious when you found out that you were accepted, did they tell you how long you had to reply to the letter and say that you would like to take your seat for acceptance? And if so how long did you have to accept your seat?

Yes, they did. They gave us 2 weeks to accept. We had to sign a form and send in a deposit of $500. The deadline is this Friday, March 13th for those initially accepted the 27th of February.

How do you know some waitlist people have gotten off the list? and does anyone from previous years have any idea how many people are waitlisted? Or how many are pulled from the waitlist to be accepted? I asked someone there and they refused to tell me a specific number.

Because I've talked to 1 person who recently got off it. I'm assuming she's not the only one, since MUSC sends out its acceptances relatively late and many people have already committed to other schools.

Hey, it appears to me that a fair amount of people have gotten into the class off the waitlist so far. This is judging from the Facebook group that has been formed of the incoming class. I've seen that multiple people did not receive an acceptance until March and some have received acceptances very recently, like March 20th. Hope that helps!

I declined my spot a few days ago (I was accepted in February), so they should be going down at least 1 more person. Good luck, and hang in there!

Considering their orientation started yesterday, I'm assuming the class is already full. It's weird they haven't contacted you yet (not to mention rude....).

I am on the alternate list as well and have not heard a word 🙁 It makes me so sad that we are just sitting here with no definite answer
