From the MWU website...

To be competitive, an applicant should have earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and must possess both a science (biology, chemistry and physics - BCP) and a total GPA over 2.75 (although 3.20 will be generally competitively necessary) on a 4.00 scale. A minimum science and overall GPA of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale is required to receive a supplemental application from the College.

WTF...I swear this wasn't there last week. I just wasted my money.

I'm wondering, will they apply those changes to those who applied before the changes went into effect?

Are you positive that it wasn't there? I vaguely remember reading something like that.

I've seen this on MWU website before, don't panic!
It says to be COMPETITIVE! you should have those stats, it doesn't say ALL APPLICANTS MUST MEET THESE MINIMUM REQ.

No. It says a minimum sGPA and oGPA of 2.75 is REQUIRED to receive a supplemental application.

Must be early, and/or I'm being dense, but that minimum science and overall GPA is on that page you just linked, Bcon...what am I missing?

The change that was made was the clarification of the science GPA as the BCP gpa (the point I believe the OP was making)...they didn't change the numbers. Someone else posted a few days ago that they got rejected because their BCP was under 2.75 while their science gpa was above 2.75... so I guess Midwestern decided to define what they consider to be the "science" gpa.

Ahhhh...gotcha. Thanks, mate.

I wish. It's unethical of them to change their requirement after the cycle began.

in the link that Bconway posted it says for the 2009-2010 cycle sci and overall have to be above 2.75, so im assuming they made the clarification for this cycle
you could call and ask if you're wondering

im really sorry that happened tho and hopefully you'll get an interview somewhere else :luck:

Random question about BCP, does that include ALL bio, chem, and physics classes? Or just the required?

I have taken micro and will be taking biochem are they included? I also took a couple nonsense sciences.. chem and society and an HIV and the world class, both had prefixes of CHM and BIO. They included in there? :xf:

Dude you classified your own classes on your app, don't you remember? You had to categorize your classes and unless AADSAS saw something that was a red flag they probably didn't alter your application.
