MWU-AZ "On Hold For Interview"

Does anyone know what "on hold for interview" actually means at Midwestern-AZ?

Is this their version of "continuing review," (aka pre-rejection), or is it more like they haven't really made a decision yet etc? Any insight on their timeline/application jargon would be great, thanks!

I think there might be a similar thread out there on this, but I just want to see if anyone ACTUALLY knows, not just speculation...

To me, and I apologize, this IS just speculation, that looks like good news. I'd check your MWU portal, you may have been invited to interview and had your email eat it or something. If you got that email and didn't follow up, it might have put you in a "limbo" status, since you have to schedule your interview date yourself. Failing that, call the school and ask them!

I got that "status update" from calling the school, actually. She couldn't divulge what it really means, which is why I posed the question, hoping that someone else this cycle, or in the past, had this status and knows what comes from it. I think some other people on sdn have called and asked what "on hold for interview" means and got equally vague, "it's normal..." answers, so I'm just hoping to find the person who has emerged on the other side of the ever-cryptic "on hold for interview."

I check my portal fairly regularly and haven't had any updates or an invite there either, so while I wish it was an invite I missed, I'm pretty sure it's not haha 🙁

i too called the school a couple weeks back and got the same answer "Hold for interview" and she later said that it is normal since they are still "reviewing".

This status is on their computer system not AADSAS nor MWU portal. You will find out only if you call and ask about your status on application.
