MWU-AZ on hold for possible future interview?

Hello everyone,
So did anyone receive such an email from MWU-AZ?? Does it mean it's pre-rejection?
This is the first email I get from schools and I'm confused about it. Did anyone from the past cycles get this email and end up with an interview later?? 🙁

you mind to post your stats? DAT and GPA and EC?

on hold means they will interview you later if they need to or can later reject you. It is not rejection for sure at the moment and with possible likelihood of being invited for an interview.

The first batch of applicants was just reviewed by schools last week and they invited their top choices for now. A few people have posted they are on-hold. I'm assuming that means you are interesting to them but you are on the bubble and they want to see who else applies in the next couple months before they extend an invite. Some people got flat out rejections so you are better than that, but not quite what they want for an actual interview now. It's not about stats either, although you have to have reasonable stats obviously. One poster over on the official acceptance/rejection thread has very high stats and got a rejection from them already.

Not amazing stat but this school is one of my top choices.. sGPA 3.4 oGPA 3.4 DAT all 19 in every section, EC I have 200+ shadowing and I work as a dental assistant.

ah I see. I think 19 DAT is a bit low. 20 and above should do it. or you can give it some more time

what don't you get about it?

supposedly school starts in septemeber, 2015, you have to take your test after septemeber, 2013.

Thus, if you take the test well b4 the application begins, you technically can apply to dental school twice and your DAT will expire.

19 DAT isn't too bad. I know people who got in with 3.5 oGPA/19 AA...
