I am looking at applying to MWU CPG for June 2012, and I have a question. Does anyone know how they look at multiple PCAT scores? Do they average them, take the highest/lowest, take the most recent...? 😕

While it's good information since I'm applying there anyway, the pressing reason I'm asking is because I'm considering taking the PCAT in January (and paying the late fee) versus July so I can potentially complete my application a couple months earlier. I think I'll do fine, but some gen chem has bled out my ears. 😛 I think I can stuff it all back in my ears in a couple weeks (I've been preparing for a while), but the answer to my question will help determine whether I want to take the PCAT now or later.

Thanks in advance! 😀

Call the school and they will tell you if it's not already somewhere on the website.

MWU CPG considers all Pcat scores with emphasis on the latest one.

I have tried calling the school and was told to send an e-mail, which was ignored. (This is the third time, for different issues, I have had the same response. I really need to just get up off my, er, self and go down there.) Unable to find it on the website.

Thank you! So, basically, don't biff the PCAT and don't go down in scores and you'll be alright.

While "considers all scores" is a bit nebulous, I'm sure that is exactly what the school says it does.

I heard from the dean today and the last pcat is the only one they care about.

Oh gosh,
My score went down from 49 to 43... and if they only consider the latest one, then no hope for me anymore...🙁🙁

Sorry, by last I mean highest. Poor assumption on my part.

That's so strange because I had emailed the admissions people and this was their reply:

"The program will look at all PCAT scores with the most emphasis on the latest."

That would be great if they take the highest score though.

The dean said just to keep taking the pcat until you get the score you and they are looking for.
