For the last couple of days, I've read postings...I mean A LOT(I spent whole day logging in and out and watching ravens and saints games...)from current students at these schools not only to compare their programs but to get an idea as to campus life, housing options and costs, cultural environment around the city, people, child education, life after graduation(whether many outstaters love to stay in the area or move out for any specific reason not limited to personal reasons) and etc....
I really enjoyed reading the postings and can't wait to meet them in person. I've been accepted to MWU glendale and two other schools and will have an interview at USN.
I'm 32 with a lovely wife...no baby yet...I think we've already lost a timing😀
This would be my 2nd career and I never imagined even a month ago that I would have made this far. I have to say thank you all sdners for your thoughtful advices.
Back to my concerns...besides the school programs, IMO,the environment and cultural aspects of the city where the school is located at are also important criterion choosing the best fitting school.
For those who are attending or attended the schools, (jeddevil, rxforlife2004, forgetmenot, amandarxs, smilescali, jdpharmd, lord999......)can you give some more inputs on the following inquiries?
I think I did enough research on the school programs and have some questions that might be very important making my decision.
* MWU: on campus housing would be a bad idea for my family concerning noise and disturbance if any?
* After graduation, do many out of state students get jobs there and stay with their families albeit they can opt out? I'm asking this b/c I would like to settle down after graduation.
* how's the job market for both retail and clinical?
* For prospective hospital pharmacist, which school setting is better? e.g. One stresses clinics over the other in their curriculum?
* USN: is the city diversified in terms of industry such as medicine, public health, education, and pharmaceutics or more like casino oriented so many people you actually meet and talk to have jobs related to hotel and casino?
* USN: annual living expenses including tuition and fees?
any thought would be greatly appreciated...
