MWU-IL
Pros
Awesome Facility
Great Clinical Experience
Awesome City
Close to Home (2 Hours)

Cons
Expensive (450k)

LECOM
Pros
Much Easier Curriculum
More Relaxed atmosphere from students
Cheaper (100-120k difference)

Cons
Not as impressed with facility
Not sure on the clinical experience I would get from it
Been a lot of misinformation regarding curriculum changes and I worry about the lack of structure
No CEREC machines

Things that are important to me (In order of priority)
I want to specialize one day (OMFS or Endo), so School Rep is important
I want to be as little in debt as I can
I want to have some sort of school/life balance (If specializing is not possible at these schools)

Things I need to know
How reputable is MWU-IL in terms of specializing? Will it be easier to specialize if I go there vs. LECOM?
How is the clinical experience with LECOM? From what I gathered there are no CEREC machines. Is this true?
How substantial of a difference is 350k vs 460k in debt?

In my opinion 110k difference is not justified for choosing MWU-Il. Although it is a great school, as long as you have a good gpa and are willing to work hard, you shouldn't have a problem specializing. As for student life, I don't know much about LECOM but Chicago is probably better. If I were in your shoes, I would choose LECOM because its significantly cheaper.

You see, I’m in that same boat about price. LECOM is significantly cheaper and would save me a buck. However, I saw a large disparity between the facility and student life which makes me think that maybe the price difference is justified. Not knocking on either school, they’re both impressive in their own rights.

I haven't been to LECOM so I can't comment on their facilities. As for student life, I'm sure it won't be horrible as there will be many university students there and it's in Florida which is nice. However, I do understand where you're coming from as location is a big factor in determining where I applied to and where I will chose to attend dental school. I would say maybe 20-40k is justified but anything over that needs some serious consideration.

Would a school not having CEREC machines be a solid reason to reconsider it?

I wouldn't say its a big reason. It a machine and quite simple to use - you scan the tooth and it "prints" the crown for you. You will have opportunities in the future to use it. It's a downfall i agree but your clinical experience is what I would focus on.

Go where you will be happy. I am 4th year student in LECOM and our major benefit is having no resident in our school so we can do majority of stuff. I have done plenty of molar endo and bridge cases. But obviously LECOM isn't for everyone.
