My application not mailed yet?????? has yours??

I am beginning to get very concerned about my application. I submitted on 6/8 and my transcripts were there before then.
But my application has not yet been mailed and my transcripts do not say verified infront of them.


Is this weird?? I called AADSAS like a million times and either they are closed or it just goes to their vm even at 12pm west coast time.

Are there any others in the same boat as me or should I be concerned now???

I am really freaking out because i know all my materials should be there. AADSAS is known to pull off weird random last moment stunts with application status. I dont know what is wrong. My payment says received too!!

Help! Any Ideas??

I submitted mine June 2nd, was verified the 18th to go out in the next mailing cycle, but it still hasn't been mailed either.
My buddy submitted the 2nd of june, was verified the 12th, and his were just mailed out beginning of this week.
So it does look like they are holding onto completed applications for a while before they are mailing them out!

Submitted Yesterday (July 1), Transcript Verified Today (July 2).. email says.. will be mailed NEXT mailing cycle.. so next week.

i dont get it, why would they mail some and hold others even when the application is complete. What sense does it make if someone who submits later gets their apps sent first. Everyone pays the same amount of money...and jeez do they charge you tons!!! ridiculous.

It doesn't really make any sense and sadly, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. As others have said though, I wouldn't stress TOO much...ADCOMs can see when you were verified through AADSAS, and the email I got today from UIC today stated "Applications will be reviewed between September 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010."

I know ALL schools don't do things the same way but hopefully yours will be sent out next week.

I am in the same boat, i worked super hard to get my application in early, and had my application verified on the 11th. And I still have not had them sent out. I'm hoping that they actually have been sent, but the status just hasn't been updated on the application yet. Been calling them nonstop and it goes straight to the vm.

Aadsas sure has been pissing me off so far this year... I sent in 2 letters of rec at the same time both with matching forms IN THE SAME ENVELOPE. One got completed within a day, the other was still pending. After a week I called asking about the other, they said to wait another week. I waited another week, called and they told me just to send it in again...stupid.

oh the LOR form thing happened to me too. I had my university career center mail 3 LORs in 1 envelope to AADSAS. They only ended up putting 2 in the system and said they never received the 3rd. I was super pissed and had to request that letter to be sent again and paid additional fee n all to my career center again.

ANd i hope that my app is sent too and its just the status thats not updated. I am trying to call them too. Been trying all morning and it says no one is available to take the call. Stupid people i guess they started their long weekend !!!! i hope their BBQ ends up burnt!!!

I think u can call AADSAS and say that you will sue them if they don't send application even after recieving money.

Ummm. The first set of applications just went out couple of days ago on 6/29. The fact that you submitted on 6/8 may have pushed your application back, so it will probably go out during the next mailing cycle. However, if you submitted your transcripts on 6/8 and they're still not verified is kinda weird. It usually doesn't take this long to verify them. But then again, this is the busiest time of the year. So, I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't had time to update your status yet.

P.S. Your application will NOT be mailed until they verify your GPAs.

Do this only if you want your application to magically get lost on its way to your designated schools this year. :laugh:
It's like going off on the person who is serving you your food. Most likely he/she will spit in it before serving it to you.

lol yeah i wasnt really planning on taking that advice. I was just surprised if that is possible.

what exactly defines a "mailing cycle"? every week? every two weeks?

...i submitted my app on june 5th, and i received a notification on june 15th that it had been verified
.....but it still has not been mailed out!

i was finally able to get a hold of someone at AADSAS and they told me my application WILL BE MAILED in 1 WEEK. 😡 i asked the guy why would someone's application which was submitted much later mailed before mine and he said I wont be able to provide you an answer for that question. COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS. 😡 i was almost hoping that they were mailed and it was just that my status wasn't changed. Such disappointment. I wouldn't even mind the high application fee if only they were efficient.

Oh and i dont know if i was suppose to ask him about the application cycle or is it a school thing and not AADSA thing but i still did and asked him if they had something like mailing cycles. And he said no they don't. So i don't know if he knew what he was talking about or the mailing cycles are a myth.

I think they must have just missed my application and only woke up after the really upset email i had sent them last week.
So for all those who are in the same boat as me, make sure you send out an email too rather than just speak on the phone because it makes it more official and they have it on the record and in writing and take it more seriously. They will never completely admit "oh our fault we just missed your app and mailed the late submissions instead" but they will definitely take note of their mistake to themselves and do something abt it when u nag them "officially".

SO good luck to all of you. Write those emails today.

Obviously, they're not a myth. The fact that applications are sent out in separate batches at different times, means that they go out every few weeks, and that's what most people refer to as "mailing cycles."
Anyways, I think you're stressing way too much about this. I don't know of any schools that start their actual review process anytime sooner than July 14th.

^ What does the above statement mean? Lol. Anyway, I e-submitted June 3 and just paid for my stuff completely. Mine isn't sent nor verified, but I'm hoping when schools get it in the next couple of weeks they see I turned it in early....

What do you mean by not verified? Your GPA hasn't been calculated or something?
