Hello there. I just wanted to get some input on my chances of getting an interview. I applied to a variety of schools (mainly mid-tier to low-tier), all being allopathic. I currently have a 3.678 gpa because of medical issues which I thought i could work through my sophomore year (I have since gotten all As, with the exception of 1 B+ my junior year and explained my low gpa in my application). I also got a 509 on the MCAT with a pretty even distribution among the sections (lowest was psych with 126). My ECs include research since my freshman year, supplemental instruction leader, volunteer firefighter and emergency medical first responder, emergency transport technician from my freshman to sophomore year, nursing assistant since my sophomore year, and about 200 hours of shadowing. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Where is your state of residence and which schools are you interested in applying to?
I live in PA. My schools are:
Pitt (which I know is a reach)
Albany Medical College
University of Louisville
University of Massachusetts
Virginia Commonwealth
George Washington University
Medical University of South Carolina
Indiana University
The Commonwealth medical college
Thomas Jefferson University
Temple
Drexel
WVU
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
University of Toledo
Georgetown University
Eastern Virginia Medical School
Wright State University
Penn State

Louisville, UMass, South Carolina, Indiana, North Carolina, Toledo and Wright State are state public schools that accept few OOS applicants with your MCAT score. However keep WVU and the Virginia schools which are more friendly to OOS applicants. Consider adding these schools where you could receive an interview with your stats:
Quinnipiac
New York Medical College
Vermont
Oakland Beaumont
Loyola
Rosalind Franklin
Medical College Wisconsin
Tulane
St. Louis
Creighton
Roseman (new school accepting applications sometime this year)
The GPA-MCAT grid shows you have a 2/3 chance for a MD acceptance with your stats (unless you are URM) so I recommend applying to at least 6 DO schools and you are competitive for any DO school. You may need a DO LOR for some schools. LECOM and PCOM are in PA.
