So I'm set to start med school in the fall, and still haven't recieved any finacial aid packages. I'm a bit worried because my credit score is really bad (~600)....is this going to hinder my ability to take out loans? I don't really have a lot of debt from undergrad (> 10 K)...but is my credit score going to hurt my ability to take out loans?

nope! that's the beauty of the stafford loan program.

additional loans are a different story though.

Uncle Sam doesn't use your credit score for Staffords. They don't have to because you can't bankrupt out of them.

I think that PLUS loans do use credit as a criterion.
