Hmm, well first and foremost I am SOOO happy that it is over. My scores are not the greatest(especially compared to what lifeisgood will post soon, lol🙂) , but... they will do. I will NOT take this test again.
RC: 21
QR: 16
Gchem: 18
Ochem: 16
Biology: 22
PAT: 16
AA: 19
TS: 19
RC: I never made below a 23 on a practice test for this section, and when I finished the first passage on cancer, and opened the second passage and noticed that it was the stock/investment passage, I knew I was screwed. I thought this was super dooper hard. The last passage was on the brain and it was simple. I barely finished in time and was expecting MAYBE an 18. I was surprised at the 21.
QR: SCREW THIS! The lowest I had on this section in topscore was an 18. The real thing really sucked. I would say hm, probably 70% word problems, 15% trig, and 15% geometry and algebra. I was VERY disappointed in this score. VERY disappointed. This makes me mad even typing my score. 😡 I am ashamed of myself.
GChem: I was pleased w/ this score. I hate GChem and started really studying for it on Monday. I mainly just looked over kaplan bb for this. It really wasn't bad.
Ochem: Okay, the doozey. I studied this section. I thought I knew this section. I was in for a rude awakening. Everyone told me the real OChem was easier than any practice test. This wasn't true for my test. There were really strange questions that I hadn't seen on ANY practice tests. Lots of biochemistry stuff and ph/isoelectric crap. There were 4-5 questions on lab technique. I missed all of these. I was really disappointed with this score as well. I just wish I could have had the DAT destroyer for more than 5 days, and I think I really could have done better.
AH, Biology: 22, what else do I need to say. The funny this is, initially I was worried about this section, b/c everyone says it is so random w/ lots of ecology and genetics. I went through the kaplan book once and this was really no help. I bought the GRE Biology book and read that once. This helped. The key to this was achiever and destroyer. I memorized the destroyer questions word for word and it paid off. I supplemented with Campbell's some, not much though. There were 5 questions I was unsure of. I knew all the others. Lol, now I wish I would have laid off of the bio studying and focused more on Ochem. Haha, can't go back though. Oh yeah, I got the frog question and the cheetah question. Just smiled, thought of you all, and clicked. 🙂
PAT: 16. The angles were very difficult, and I also thought the TFE was very very challenging. Probably missed 8-15 of each of those. Pattern folding was tricky too, probably missed 6 or 7 of those. Oh well, I know a 16 PAT sucks. Maybe it won't hurt me too much.
Like I said, I know these score aren't wonderful. But I think they will do. My GPA is strong and my scores are average. My number one choice is my instate school, UAB and I think I can get in there with these stats. 👍 Good luck to all of you. Oh, my topscore 3 results were:
