Hi y'all!

I recently took the DAT (5/13/16) and did fairly well. I used SDN a lot so i figure id give back!
PA:22 QR:20 RC:23 Bio:19 GC:22 OC:21 TS:20 AA:21
So after searching around at materials and what seemed to be the best materials for each topic as well as a way to avoid paying for a full Kaplan program, I created what I believe a fairly accurate and good list.
For the RC I used Crack DAT (a program that I bought and got to keep, its pretty good and gives you 5 tests with a standard purchase, but due to its weight in Dental Schools, I decided to spring for the royal flush package. Its cheaper if you buy it on the site.)
For the QR I used datQvault. It has pretty good math programs and explanations. fairly similar to the exam itself.
For the Bio I bought the Cliffsnotes AP Bio book (3rd edition specifically) due to the suggestion of coverage material. Its great for covering the basics and if you are a bio major it will be a great refresher. But for those that are shaky at Bio(like I am) I would suggest a Kaplan AP Bio book.
For the Chemistry, I only used DAT bootcamp (I am a chemistry major).
DAT Bootcamp was great for all of the topics, and Crack DAT was a good program to simulate the exam(however, its sciences are a bit difficult).

Honestly, my exam scores are a pretty good reflection of what I do. I am not particularly smart nor am I especially good at any one subject(even chemistry) so the pretty much even score across the board is a good representation of that. But I studied all of one school semester and was able to get a grade I am happy with. If anyone has any questions for me please let me know! I am happy to help and hopefully add one more layer of insight.

Congrats on your scores! I am retaking my DAT and the last time I took it I remember the QR was mostly word problems. I've been using DAT Bootcamp which is pretty helpful. Would you say the real thing had a ton of word problems? Did you feel that QVault really prepared you? thanks 🙂

QVault was pretty good. I didn't actually have that many word problems. Time is a HUGE factor though, because I pretty much ran out of time. The conversions aren't bad, but when you have to convert square meters to square feet, the work can get a bit long(but not difficult). I would work on getting your math speed up and Qvault is great at hammering away at specific types of questions. So yeah, qvault is great
