Just as background, I had an abysmal freshman year due to multiple family deaths, parents divorcing, and just not being prepared for college. I believe I finished with a 1.8 and 1.9 those two semesters. I was then academically dismissed. I transferred to a different state university for a semester, got a 4.0 with 13 credits, then went back to my original university. This is my transcript since:

Sophomore year - 4.0, 4.0
Junior year - 3.7, 4.0
Senior year - 3.9, 4.0
This year - 4.0, most likely another 4.0

My final semester's transcripts aren't released until June 20th. I've seen other people say to just leave the final semester off from your AMCAS GPA, but the difference for me is:

w/ this semester: 3.50 cGPA, 3.31 sGPA
w/o this semester: 3.46 cGPA, 3.22 sGPA

Should I wait until then to submit my primary? I'm nervous about how long it'll take to verify if I'm submitting that late.

(Because it is unfortunately relevant when posting about GPAs, I am URM.)

The SDN-induced neuroticism is high on this one. June 20th is not late by any standard -- not even SDN's standard. Go ahead and submit on/shortly after June 20th. Have everything else ready to go and add your transcripts last.

I would wait for your spring semester grades to post. Then I would submit your primary AMCAS application within a day or two of your grades being released and send in your transcript by rush mail if you're concerned about the timing. Even though you have a strong upward trend for your GPA, some schools may have an automatic cutoff at the 3.3 science GPA. Send in any other transcripts aside from the one you're waiting on early on so your application will be ready to be verified once that last transcript arrives.
