Unless he is a prodigy. He's probably just lying about his age, or everything. Who knows.

I never answered you about living expenses UCSF v. UOP, sorry about that. I am living in my parents' paid off house while they gallivant around the world being retired. They come home every 3 weeks or so and restock everything in the house for me, which is pretty good. Besides driving my expensive ass Mustang to class, and crap associated with school, I have no living expenses. Can't say the same about my wife's school but whatever. Yellow Ribbon Program ftw 😀

Yeah, I don't think the OP is very honest either...🙄

Your situation sounds NICE!!!!! My cellphone is on a family plan that my mom pays for and my car is on a family insurance plan too...so I don't have to pay for those either!!!! I hope I can stay on the "family car/phone plan" forever!!!:laugh::laugh: My only bills are gasoline, oil change and books for school. Tuition I take a loan out for.

Your parents just keep on traveling NON-STOP???? that sounds expensive! but must be NICE to be on vacation 365 days a year! I would love that kind of life! 😀

Why? If they were born in 85 then they probably graduated HS in 2003 (at 18). Then they do a 6 year program and are graduated in 2009 adn are licensed by last year. Work 1st full time year in 2010 and work 50+ hours a week.

I'm surprised Passion hasn't mentioned his three favorite passionate words yet. But yea, let's toast to truck driving school:luck:

Well, duh. What else do you think I meant? Truck driving school ftw. Bringing down the big 5 DIGITS A YEAR after a few weeks of training.

Well, for instance, let's take my brother. Went to a NASCAR tech institute (I know, lol) for a 13 month program, then got accepted to the BMW STEP program for another few months. First year out of school, he made 80k as a BMW repair tech (read: mechanic) at a dealership. Not bad for an entry-level mechanic (albeit with some good training), and his pay only goes up from there. This is in NC.

In other news, I know a NY state trooper pulling down over 100k. He's worked for the state for about 10 years, but I don't know too many people in other professions who've had their salary bumped there after a 10 year period. Hell, after 5 years with the NYS troopers, you're guaranteed $84,739. With a bachelor's degree and 2 years of service, you make at least $94,335. Keep in mind that while we're spending 6+ years in school making maybe $15 an hour if we're lucky part-time, they're making at least 70k while their salaries rise to 6 figures by the time we're done with school. With no ridiculous debt from the Kellogg's Corn Flakes School of Pharmacy in Juno, Alaska, I might add. Retirement is 20 years, leaving plenty of time for another profession while reaping a nice pension to boot.

All I'm saying is that there are plenty of money-making opportunities out there that aren't pharmacy. If all you really care about is making money with disregard for the line of work you're in, you have more options than the news might let you believe.

He wasn't born in 1985. Just more trolling, I think. He's said or at least alluded to his age range on here before and it's quite a bit older than that.

Yeah my brother-in-law is a sergeant for a local police force and is retiring later this year at the age of 42 with a full pension of about $100k/year. Po-Po is where it's at!

The police SHOULD be well paid. It's dangerous and it's not for everyone. The thing with law enforcement is that you don't start out making big bucks. You have to work your way up, while hoping that you don't get hurt or disabled by some scum criminal. The police have my utmost respect but I would never say it's an easy way to make big bucks.

No, being a police officer is not an easy way to make big bucks. I'm glad that he's made it as long as he has and that he gets to retire without any issues. Just jealous of him, but he worked hard for it.

He said he was born in 1985 and graduated pharmacy school in 2003. That's what doesn't make sense.

Because... he said he graduated in 2003/4 and was licensed about then. Look at his screen name, and he's been here for years.

You can't graduate from HS in 2003 and graduate from pharmacy school in 2004 or so.

Either way, this cat isn't just a year out of pharmacy school... so something he's saying isn't adding up. Just a matter of what.

rofl, calm down buddy, just a little trite kidding around on the internet.

as for being impressed by this guy, no. there are far easier ways to make money than going to pharm school.

EASIER BUT IS THE PAY THE SAME? Do tell us one.

Also OP's page says Date of Birth May 28 (46) --> is 46 the age? Not familiar with this forum's framework.

BTW, P4Sci you are so spoiled wow Mustang

Spoiled! I was Taliban target practice for over a year to buy that thing, thank you verrrry much.

He's sure not acting like a 46 y.o if that's the case.

So what's up with 1985? If he is 46, he may have graduated from pharmacy school in 1985? (He'd be ~21 years old?). I dunno.

I know someone who graduated with a Pharm.D degree at the age of 21. So it's possible for somebody born in 1985 with a Pharm.D and 4 yrs working experiences.

It's funny how people in here assuming and judging about someone when they have no clue how that person really look/act like in real life. Come on...this is a virtual world. I could be a man, a girl, gay, les, or even a she-male....lol...

*yawning***

I bet it's the latter :meanie:

Can't say I have ever played a game involving she-males. Care to enlighten us?

i don't know...ask the look-like she-male in your avatar...

There's no need for the insults. And you have super high standards if Terry Farrell looks like a she-male to you. 😱

Yes. Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised. Thanks for asking. Stay classy.

Sorry to jump in and post in a closed thread but I want to clarify that NONE and I repeat NONE of the money raised in my late daughter's name goes to my family. Can I make that any clearer? I am extremely offended by the implication that we would profit in ANY way from our child's murder. We are NOT funding our retirement or using the funds to support ourselves in any way.

Every penny raised goes to charity. Every single cent. There are no administrative costs paid to anyone (which is rare even in the most respected charities).

The fund linked in my signature is the Riley Jane Lawrence and Claudia Faye Wadlington fund at the Community Foundation of Louisville. That fund makes grants to charities who can apply for funding. The startup money to establish this fund was donated by the SDN membership. Here are links to the articles that describe the grants made so far:

Metro Animal Services
Shoulder to Shoulder Ecuador
Kosair Children's Hospital

Besides the Community Foundation fund, there are two additional efforts:

The Riley Jane Lawrence fund at the Louisville Free Public Library - supporting the children's bookmobile and children's collection. My husband and I used our personal funds to start this and so far hundreds of books have been purchased.

The Riley Jane Lawrence scholarship at the Center for Gifted Studies, Western Kentucky University - a family friend and his wife started this scholarship to send gifted but financially challenged students to summer enrichment programs and camps.

If you want more information about any of these programs, feel free to PM me.

Thanks! 🙂
