Hello all and thank you for looking at my post. I am starting my junior year in September of 2010 and have not been doing well in my science courses. I did very poorly my freshman year D, C-, C.😱 and improved my sophomore year. C+, B-.🙄 I was struggling more than anyone else it seemed like and went to the school clinic only to be diagnosed with acute ADD. I now know how to treat my problem and things are coming easier. I retook my Biology 1 class this summer and got an A. I know i can do it now and I don't feel so stressed. However Junior year is Application year for me and I only have Physics and O. Chem 1 and 2 to take. even if I get A's in all 4 my GPA will still be in the 2.95 range. My being a History major doesn't help. Is this my last year to shine? If I had my senior year to show them I could do it i could raise it to a 3.2. Hardly competitive but more reasonable. I really want to go straight in to Dent school if I can. Do you get a secondary App? for every school you apply to? If someone could explain that would be divine! Sorry for the essay and thanks again😉

forget applying in your junior year and instead focus on getting 4.0's across the board and perhaps write the DAT to give you time to retake (if needed) in your senior year.

If it helps, I am applying this summer as a 5th year senior. I took my time and made sure I got good grades this past year and will do my best to finish strong. So if you have the time, and the money, and you know know how to address your issues with ADD, I would say consider staying an extra semester or year and take more sciences classes and work on boosting your grades. I am personally happy I decided to make that decision... it's working out well for me.
