Hello again sdn. So I came up with a very vague layout of how I plan to study for the PCAT. Here's what I've come up with:

Biology:

Briefly read through/takes notes on the entire Kaplan biology section. From what Ive heard, they give you more than enough information on the subject.

Chemistry:

Work through Dr. Collins chemistry section.

Math (quantitative ability):

Dr. Collins

Verbal:

Dr. Collins

Reading comprehension:

From what Ive heard, Pearsons practice tests are the best prep for this section.

Essay:

Haven't really thought about that

Does this sound like a good plan? I came up with this plan based on reading various threads. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, This looks like a really good plan. I m thinking of taking the test in september so that i have more time to study this time.

I was an older Collins Guide maybe 2008/2009. Did any of his note packets increase in length?

My last update was from 2009. Can anyone hook me up with the newer updates? PM me.

From Pearson:

Each Practice Test provides you with detailed information about the Writing subtest. You will receive information about how to compose your essays and how your essays will be scored and reported. You will also be provided with sample Writing topics and actual sample essays to give you an idea of what essays look like and how they are scored.

Looks like a good deal. My preparation for this section was when I studied for the GMAT believe it or not. There are multiple ways to review for this section but definitely look into Pearson's practice exams. Good luck!

I took my PCAT's twice and I did horrible, so I'm planning on taking it again prob in Jan. My main problem was the Verbal and Reading which I found kind of pointless to study but know i guess i know what to focus on 🙁 anyways I just wanted to know is the Dr. Collins good for these 2 subjects? and should i rely on it only? I took a Kaplan class and quite frankly didn't help me at all.
