Long story short, I took the mcat my junior year and got a 27, 10BS, 8PS and 9VR; there's a few legit reasons for the low score. I applied after I graduated for 2013 class and got put on 1 waiting list. I studied this summer to retake the MCAT and got a 33, 13BS, 11PS, 9VR. My EC's are extremely strong. Just wondering on your thoughts about the difference in MCAT scores and how med schools look at a 6 point swing like this and if I got an interview with a 27 how much is the 33 going to bump me up.

FYI: The two schools that I desire the most are University of Minnesota Duluth or Twin Cities campus.

Firstly, congrats on the excellent improvement!

I think you chances are fine, especially for the U, given your now above avg score.

Apply broadly and wisely and you'll be fine.
