Help! My applications are all complete except for one thing- the pre-med committee has yet to send my LOR and the package of recommendations i gave them from other professors to the schools I applied to. I requested this back in June, and they promised to have them sent out by end of July. I contacted them a few weeks ago to check on the status and the organizer said not to worry.
These schools are still waiting for my LORs in order to process my application. Will this hurt my chances to get an interview before January?

You have to keep nagging them. I had the same problem with my committee letter and I emailed/called them at least every other week to check in on it. I was nice about it and explained to them my worries. So check in again, and tell them that you were told to expect your LOR's to be sent out at the end of July and ask them if there is a hold up, problem or anything else that is needed from your end. Just try to be nice about it - if you are polite and friendly about it they are more likely to help you out. But I would contact them ASAP to see what the hold up is.

Good luck!

Mkae sure you put alot of pressure on them. I went with the nice friendly method and they finally sent them all about 4 weeks to late! So all but 2 schools dropped me from the application pools. Just Stay on top of them!

Thanks for the advice, guys. It's really unfair that after all the hardwork and $$$ we put into this process, we have to go by this unwritten rule that the people we depend on need to be bugged in order to do their job. I paid a fee for my school's services and expect the best service there is!

just be thankful that you have access to you LORs and that they aren't in a city unihabitable because of a hurricane... (can you tell I am a little bitter?) I think I will probably be able to get my letters from last year (I am a reapplicant) to be sent from my state school to a new letter service and use those, my committee letter won't be updated but at least I won't have to get all new letters at the last minute. It could be much worse though, so I feel horrible complaining about this, and the schools that I applied to seem very willing to cooperate with me. Sorry just had to rant for a minute!
