I was wondering if I should still apply this cycle? I have a 3.4 overall GPA, and I just made a miserable 14 on the DAT. Is there even a chance I can get accepted anywhere? Should I even apply this cyle?

IMO, no you should study and work on that DAT.

Did you study for the DAT?

No, I would not recommend you to apply this year. Retake the DAT and apply next year.

I studied last minute. I wasn't ready at all I have way too much on my plate, I should have taken a different approach. I've learned from my mistake for sure though.

Its okay, everyone makes mistakes. You have a while until next application cycle starts. Go the DAT forum and buy all the necessary study materials.
*Keep in mind that the practice test such as TopScore expire after 7 months of purchase.

Make a calender of your DAT schedule with break down of what you are going to study each day and change it accordingly as you study.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the ADEA did a study which showed that one can get a 14AA on the DATs by randomly guessing every answer. Regardless of the accuracy of that study, Jesus can't even get you into dental school with a 14. So buckle down boy.

Dont apply this cycle. Take TeddyBearSuicide's advice and study your @$$ off. Make sure you find out where you are weak and practice there as well.
