MyEras gives us a 28,000 character limit for the Personal Statement........

That is a LOT!, In Microsoft Word, that comes out to about 7 pages.

Do they really want us to/expect us to use the entire 28,000 character limit?


Or do they want just one Microsoft Word page?

I noticed that link you provided links to a post of yours in that thread. I read those margin specs you posted in another thread as well.

But I'm asking, how many characters will make 1 page? I'm typing it out in NotePad. I set the 0.3/0.8 margins.

Notepad doesn't tell me that I'm on "page 1" or that now I'm on "page 2",, it's just one blank white screen.

I just want to make sure I keep it one page,, but in order for me to do that, I have to actually KNOW if I typed one page's worth of text, or if I'm already on page 2 (which Notepad doesn't inform me about).


BTW: in that link you provided, you say to set the font to Courier; but in This link, you say to set it to New Courier. Which do you recommend?

personally I'd be more worried about applying a month later than most applicants than the character length of your PS...

That's the same thing I thought. I know a few schools have filled all their interview spots already.
