is it a microfilament? ive seen a few places include actin and myosin as microfilaments but most books/sites have only actin listed as a microfilament.

if its not a microfil. would it still be correct to include myosin as part of the cytoskeleton?

It is not a microfilament. Microfilaments are composed of actin.

Myosin is a motor protein, highly involved with actin/microfilaments (muscle contraction, cytoplasmic streaming, cell division, etc). So while technically it doesn't make up the physical construction of the cytoskeleton, its intimate relationship with the cytoskeleton's various roles makes me see it as "a part" of it.
