Name your SAT score and the method(s) you used to attain said score. 😉

SAT: 2210, practice tests 2320-2380s (I froze on the real test)

Materials: McGraw-Hill Workbooks, Barrons 2400, CollegeBoard's Official Study Guide (Blue Book), Princeton Review 11 SATs, 11 Real SATs

Methods: Content review w/McGraw-Hill, 20+ practice tests, and filling in the problem areas using Barron's 2400.

I kinda wish I had gotten off my lazy arse to retake the test, I know for sure I could have done much better. I omitted a good chunk of the first section of the test due to nerves. Haha. My advice is to make sure that if you're the nervous type, find some way (ANY way) to calm your nerves before the exam. Make sure the day before is spent doing something non-SAT related. The morning before try doing practice problems just to wake your brain up. For the essay, I recommend you to create a flexible template with researched examples and memorize it. For the SAT, practice makes perfect. My PSAT was terrible (sub-1500) and I increased my score dramatically just by doing a good content review.

That's awesome that you got >2200 😉

Definitely going to check out those workbooks!

What's the new section contain?

Was a 1460 whenever it was just two sections. Don't remember really prepping though.

everyone is smart here 😀

i got 1820 but i didnt study. maybe i should have studied?

im going to a low-rate school so its all good 😉

2340... 1570 on core

no studying ahead of time save flipping through the SAT format packet. but don't bs your way through the essay like I did. I got 80/80 on the writing MC and only 8/12 on the essay.

What is the SAT format packet, exactly? Or are you referring to the Official Guide put out by CB..?

I took the old SAT in 2005.

Studied a few practice guides here and there...

1520 out of then 1600

1440 first time (haha)

1810 final score (high CR, low math, average math)

I tutored with Sylvan Learning center for two months between tests, we just worked through the Blue Book. If I had gotten proper math instruction from the beginning I think I could have done much better. I got into an excellent school anyways so no worries for me.
