Hi,

Has anyone heard about Dr. Flynn notes? I read somewhere that Dr. Flynn notes is good for preparing for NAPLEX. Does anyone know where to get this Dr. Flynn notes? Could anyone please send the link, that I can buy from? Or could anyone please post the official name of this book?

Thanks so much in advance.

Do you know where is his class? Do they offer this class online? Could you please send the link?
I did search google for quite some time, so far I couldn't find any link related to.

Thanks so much

I was interested too and found Flynn's e-mail address and I am pasting his reply below...hope this helps:

NAPLEX board review course. Best way of obtaining the schedule for 2007 and 2008? Go to the web site at www.rxugace.com where you can find all dates and registration info. Review dates are only set through June 2007 at the present time.

Also, do you offer a review for the wet lab? That is the first day of the 3-day review.

He is actually a Mr. Flynn, but what a great professor he is. I had him for intro to pharmacy and all the pharmacists that I have worked with know him. If you are in GA for those days that he holds the review, it is well worth the money.

For people that took Dr. Flynn's class and/or have his notes....did you focus on the part about the Washington Manual?

I took the NAPLEX last weekend. After going to Flynn's review and studying only his notes, the exam was EASY. It only took me an hour and 30 minutes to complete. I almost knew what they were asking for before I finished reading the question. Flynn's course was the best thing I have done since I began pharmacy school. Be sure to study the topics other students sent in. If you know a topic move on; if you don't...then look it up because ~60 of my 185 questions were verbatim from items students sent in.

I got my scores today. I would like to reiterate...if you have Flynn's notes spend the majority of your time on the student comments sent in and go through the calculations at least once if not twice. This is what I did. I did not read the Merck manual, I did not read the APhA guide, I did not go back through all my therapeutics notes. I got a 140 on the NAPLEX and all I studied was Flynn Warren's packet.

I was wondering about that. What about selling used notes? Is that allowed?

If you took the course and the notes were supplied to you under the condition that they could be resold, then I suppose you could place an ad for them in the classifieds area. Otherwise, it would not be allowable.

Hope that helps!

Just sell it if you need to regardless of what these ppl have to say. People do these "hush hush" things all the time (trade exam questions, post old exam questions, post old exams, etc) as students. SDN never used to be this anal. If they put your acct on hold, so be it--just create another acct. It's not that hard. Best of luck to you!

SDN's policy is what it is.

We are not allowed to use the SDN forums to trade copyrighted materials such as NAPLEX questions or Dr. Flynn's notes. By using the SDN forums, we agree to these rules.

Creating a different account to circumvent a post-hold could potentially get you banned outright. It's not a good idea.

Flynn's package has A LOT of material, aside from student comments, what other section should I focus on? I'm going over the "super Naplex review" is that enough?
Thanks
I'm taking the Naplex in 2 weeks and getting very anxious

Go over the student comments which are actual NAPLEX questions that they saw when they took the exam. Forget the rest of the review. It's overkill.

I think this post just got "Mr. Flynn" in a lot of trouble!

As he further researched the issue, Pray said in the affidavit that he found an online forum where students discussed Warren's course.

"This Web site also discussed an individual named 'Flynn,' who offered a review course and notes on passing the NAPLEX," Pray said in the document. "One correspondent on the Web site suggested that prospective examinees review the comments sent to 'Flynn' by other students, and another provided his address at the University of Georgia."

Yeah, I'm glad that I didn't take his review. I did eventually get a copy of the notes, but not until after I had taken the NAPLEX. I really did think that they were overkill. When I read over the questions section, there were a few that were on my exam.

The court documents state that there were 150 questions in the Flynn packet. The NAPLEX test bank is thousands of questions, so it is a small percentage. They can pull these questions out of the test bank and that should be it. I don't think that there were enough questions that the exam is compromised to the extent that they are claiming.

It seems interesting to me that people seem more upset that the exam has been canceled (believe me the fact that my husband has to pay loans without a job sucks!) than for the fact that people obtaining even one question that is on the exam is cheating. It sickens me to read some of these posts and see that nobody cares about the moral implications of people passing around test questions looking for an easy way to pass a board exam.

It isnt hard to draw a parallel to folks not caring about cheating on their boards and pharmacists engaging in other inappropriate activities. 👎

If the decision were to personally cost me $20,000+, I would certainly focus my anger on the fact that I couldn't take the test.....but that's just me....
