Found a compendium of every case reported by the 2004 chief residents. Pretty interesting stuff. Averge major cases 932, max 1706. Maximum number of lap choles 312 ...

"Surgery National Program Data" is also interesting - it has the 10,30,50,70,90 percentile numbers for the major case categories.
