How difficult is it to get a NAVLE date of your choice? I plan on registering immediately on the day it opens.

It wasn't that difficult for me, but it depends on the testing centers in your area

My school assigned us dates to take it. I registered opening day and was able to get that day with no problems. might depend on the testing center

My whole class picked our own days. I didn't have any trouble signing up. I even changed my date later on, and still was able to get one that worked.

I did not register opening day. I still did not have any problems getting a date I wanted at the closest prometric center to my school. I guess if the day you want gets booked quickly you could always decide to travel to a further center.

Just FYI there were at least 15-20ppl from my class taking the exam the same day/time as me at the center I was at.
