So I'm trying to find this out through people at my school, but I know that a portion of the money we fundraise throughout vet school goes to board reviews for our class. What I don't know is what kind of board reviews those are. Do classes at other schools do such a thing (the class as a whole, not individuals reviewing by themselves)? If so, how do you guys do this? Pay an outside company for their review course? Or something else?

Thanks for any feedback anyone has!

Anyone?? Anyone have anything to say on this topic? Any thoughts would be appreciated. If it helps spark comments, I've learned that we seem to do some review with Zuku prep.

Thanks.

It seems VIN has a review that they have either started or are starting soon for this year's test. Not sure if this is what you're looking for. Also, you could ask professors at your school to go over commonly asked topics.

Yeah, I'm not sure what you'd be doing either... My school doesn't offer review courses through a service like Zuku or VetPrep. We have a series of board review lectures offered by various clinicians who volunteer to help us out, but other than that everyone figures out their own studying (Zuku/Vet Prep/Mosby books etc).

Yea, I think that's what we do, too, now that I've looked into it more. Do you guys give the clinicians who give their time any kind of compensation/donate money somewhere on their behalf?

Hey There,

So our school does the same sort as MN. Clinicians help give lectures to help review. Students also review on their own.

Just so you know, the SAVMA education and licensure committee conducts a survey every year of current 4th year veterinary students who just completed the NAVLE boards.

The NAVLE survey as its called, will be available soon on the SAVMA website and third year students are encouraged to look at the results. It gives information on how students did on the exams and which review materials they used.

I hope this helps!
