There was a rule implemented starting this DUINS cycle that if your PRD does not line up with the start of the AY then you could not apply. They are not cutting orders short. This is why endo went from 20 applicants last cycle to just 8 this cycle. Could explain so many ENS being selected.

Anyone know if any of the application fees are covered for those of us selected for FTOS?

From the 2025-2026 Dental Corps FTOS Manual: “You are responsible for all costs incurred for applications to civilian programs and the “Match,” including any travel incurred to do interviews. Therefore, it is incumbent upon you to verify that an institution you want to apply for is an approved institution. Contact your specialty leader to verify this before incurring significant application, travel, and
interview expenses. All expenses related to applying and interviewing are non-reimbursable.”

You need to verify with a school that they can accept military residents. Some of these programs have institutional or graduate medical education funding restrictions that prevent them from accepting military residents. Good luck!
