I just spoke today to the head Navy program manager for dental assessions (CAPT R.) on HSCP/HPSP board dates. He told me the next meeting will be next week, but they need to see if there are enough files for the board to review.
He was on a temporary assignment from DC to Chicago (I assume the ADEA) and told me there really are no more HPSP slots, only a few HSCP positions; however, his numbers were not in front of him. He said they may be offering some hopefuls on HPSP the HSCP.
That's weird man because i just received an e-mail from Capt. R. and he said that there were still 4 year HPSP slots left and when they are all taken then there will be an alternate list created in case some people back out before commissioning....then he went on to say that next year there will probably be 3-year scholarships to hand out, but that it was too early to give a definitive answer on that. ...just going by what he said the in e-mail he just sent me.
I am currently applying for 4 year Navy HPSP and my recruiter assured me last week that there are still spots left in this cycle...
Hey guys, I got some information that might be old (as far as requirements) and I want to double check with you all.
Do you know if there are DAT and GPA minimum qualifications? I read somewhere that you can't be below 3.0 to apply, but a competitive applicant is is 3.4 with DAT at 18. Any of you know anything about this and care to share your scores (if not publicly then privately by PMing me)?
Also, it sounds like I have missed the deadline for the 4 year scholarship? I think I will be looking at the 3 year scholarship then.
Thanks a lot for your help!
