i gave my part 1 exam today and it was very very very tough. had so much of full body anat. i had done decks thrice, asda papers twice and kaplan lecture notes once. no idea what to expect from the result.. plus i felt like i had to think for 5-7 mins per question because they were nothing like the asda papers. doing the papers from a-j was of no use. only k, l, m, n give u the actual thing. also only 10% repeat questions were there in my paper today.

im super stressed now! more than what i was before my exam!

Hey thats what I felt exactly after my exam and your exam sounds really similar to mine. But I passed...and Im sure you will too! Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you 🙂 Good luck! x

What were the questions like......were they really in detail of every subject........were there any easy questions too......is decks enough for the test.......i am really having a feeling that these days the exam questions are like the ones in USMLE or something.......

Hey! the questions were not detailed as such but they really required you to think because their wordings were very different u know? the tstlets were pretty complicated in the sense that each teslet was a combination of bloody 5 medical disorders and 5 dental problems all in one patient! so i had to think a lot.. also i got a LOTTTT of nuero stuff in ym exam.. a lot of stuff about dorsal and ventral arms of the nervous system and ganglia and all yucky stuff which i anyways used to hate !

i highly recommend going thru usmle videos for neuro or backing up ur knowledge with kaplan neuro and ant in general because decks was just not enough. dont worry about micro patho and da tho- that stuff was retty easy and routine..

also i didnt get a SINGLE occlusion question! and i used 2 love those!!

Man I think we got the same Question bank. Mine was taken from the rotten end of the question bank. I got a testlet with a lady and in her MH she has 'gravida 2 para 2'....WTH?!?! I came home and googled it,Gravida 2 means a woman who has been pregnant twice and para 2 means the number of pregnancies that have progressed to 20 or more weeks at delivery, whether the fetus was born alive or was stillborn.
WHaaaaaattt?!!

omg that sounds worse than mine.. sorry 🙁 when did u give ur exam im so scared omg!! i think im gonna get mine by the 10th coz as far as i know it takes like 15 days max if the results need to be posted within US.

do u have a proper idea as to how this is scored tho? most of my seniors have told me its either relative/or curved/a percentile.. but no1 has a specific idea. :S

I gave my exam in October ,questions were not straight forward , a few multiply choice questions ,asking too detailed information on immunology and histology. Compare to the old exam it was completely new experience. Study materials ,nbde decks, nbde mastery, qbankdmd, I probably got 10 repeated questions. Pay attention on occlusion and biochemistry
Hi there!!

Did you pass?? I'm curious, as i am taking my boards this month. 🙁
