I just came acroos the following link. Some of you might have already checked it out. Go through pages 75-79. It gives the trend of NBDE and correlation between raw score and the curve, during the years 1997 to 2004 (all July PBT exams). Interestingly a raw score of mid to high forties is enough to pass the subjects of NBDE I, except DA!!

The passing rate of students from non-accredited dental schools is really stunning! American dental students had failure rate of around 12% for the year 2003. around 5000 students appeared for the exams in 2003. For the international students, around 4400 appeared for the 2003 paper based exams with a failure rate of around 65% !!!!. Wow!!! I thought the international dental education is upto american standards but wow! 65% failure rate?? no wonder the schools here are hesitant to enroll international students. whats going on??
😕
