I was wondering if people may post their score for getting into different specialties or if anyone knows what are certain scores needed to get into different specialties or if NBDE part 1 scores are even that important.

Endo typically wants above 90 on part I and some schools on part II as well

Generally speaking, you need part 1 scores in mid 90s (94+) to get into competitive specialty programs like OMFS, ortho & endo...

For other specialties I think it's okay to get score in late 80s or early 90s... anyhow, that is not a rule... some ppl with very high board scores don't get matched anywhere, while others with modest stats get accepted

I seriously doubt the average national Part I scores for all matriculating OMFS residents is in the mid-90s. Same for endo; remember that most endo programs don't accept a lot of people right outta school. Mid-90s is probably true for ortho though.

You need to take into account that for most 4yr OMFS programs, they are not required to take the 90+ scores as required by most of the medical school counterparts of the 6yr OMFS programs.

I heard if you get 100, you can get into any program you want, even perio! 😱

Do a search. There are numerous threads from this year and previous years where this information has been hashed and re-hashed.

You'll find the most information that way, rather than waiting for people to reply to a new thread.
