hi freinds

hey, just wanted to tell u all about a good source,..for biochem
Lippincot, is very nice book for biochem. u read that u will start enjoying biochem for the most part of it.
I was wondering where i could find more information about nucliec acids and DNA. I beleive there are a lot of questions on DNA over the past few exams.
i have heard that. and this is my second time, so i remem being surprised at so many qn on DNA.
all suggestions will be appreciated,.

for biochem, have a positive attitude towards the subject, when u start understanding the subject,u will love it.
scoring is alltogether a different issue. lot of other parameter come into it.
anyways goodluck, anybody has a prob with biochem, shoot ur qn, i'll try to ans those if I can. u dont really have to by heart things in biochem, if u really really understand, 2 readings or may a third reading shd fix it in ur memory.

cheers

hai i did not study in dharwad, i did my intern ship there in 2003 , that was because , my broter is a ortho pg at dharwad. Which batch were you in, if you passed out at least 5 years from now , u must be knowing RAVI TEJ, thats my brother , whats your name and where are you at present ?let me know .

Hi Sharat

I am not from davangere but I knew some one by the same name but he had passed out in 1992-3 and then went to Dharwad to do post graduation.

So far more senior then you and some one you probably could not have met as he was all done with pos graduation etc by 1995 if i am not wrong.

Anyways thanx for replying and all the best for a bright future.

well i m sorry i don't know.... 😳 plz let me know if u find out thanx

hunny, u can get the kaplan material from many sources,..
1. goto www.kaplan.com u can pick any course, or call them and order for the material only.
2. put a post on SDN if anybody is selling part material, i am sure there must be many.

besides the scoring part. i just have a general idea about it, thats what i am going to tell u people

first they calculate your raw score for each sunbejct, based on how many rights u have got out of hundred.
i am not sure if they get the percentile (by compariing with how others have performed) for the total score or for each raw score. I have a feeling it must be for each raw score. i am not sure about this part. its either of the two.
thas how the scoring is done.
if u'll get to know more then let me know too

hi hunny

not really much, havent studied for a week, started today again,

hi rtvj

if u could get the text book, lippincot, just give one reading to those chapters on glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, and TCA cycles,
in lipid metabolism, Fatty Acid synthesis and breakdown.,
besically the way these enymes work, is very beautifully explained in that, u will never have to by heart the cycles.
carbohydrate and lipid metabolism are very vast topics, if u can be more specefic it'll be good.
let me know how i can help u

thanks nolls...u r the third person to mention lippincot so i will go check it out definitely!
I successfully finished carbohydrates but am planning to revise it again as its still vague for me ,before i jump to the next chapter...if i have any specific doubts then..will ask for ur help.
Another question..i have been going thro the decks(micro/path) and they seem to be so simple and straightforward! Will the questions be like this even in the exam?????
Someone had written in the forum that questions come from the explanations given for each answer..is that true??
