hey guys
I'm appearing for NBDE Part 1 in couple days..few more questions here. Can anyone please help me out on these?

Q1.
What is the difference between regurgitation and vomitting.?

Q2.
What is the caudal phase of GI tract?

Q3.
Where are Nigri bodies found?

Q4.
What is Cord factor?

Q5.
How do you cure chronic gastritis?

Q6.
What is the mechanism of liver failure?

It would be great if anyone can throw some light on these..I apprecite ur help guyz

Q1 - Regurgitation has two meanings: Reverse circulation of blood in the heart due to defective functioning of the valves.
OR Bringing back into the mouth undigested food from the stomach.
Vomiting (also throwing up or emesis) is the forceful expulsion of the contents of one's stomach through the mouth and sometimes the nose. Is only GI related.

Q2 - not sure about this one, but I guess it has something to do with the last portion of the GI tract

Q3 - If u mean negri bodies - the are fund in the cytoplasm of certain nerve cells containing the virus of rabies, especially in ammon's horn of the hippocampus

Q4 - a toxic glycolipid found as a surface component of tubercle bacilli that is responsible for virulence and serpentine growth

Q5 - u need to know the causative agent first (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastritis)
than u treat the irritant
