What do you guys think? Just something I was discussing with some peers.

Seems to me that schools w dental curriculums aren't adequately preparing folks for the NBME.

So will there be this huge influx of os-hopefuls toward med-curriculum based schools like Columbia/Harvard and an efflux away from other top schools? Something to think about 🙄

Idk. Some OS predocs are wishy-washy, but it seems like the majority that I've spoken to (anecdotal, I know) were OS-bound since birth.

But now it seems like the hardcore OS folks are realizing how much of a disadvantage they're at by attending a dental curriculum school... which makes sense bc to do well on the NBME is akin to teaching yourself the first 2 years of medical school.

Having just taken step 1 of the USMLE myself, I can tell you that it'd be a great idea to go to a dental school that combines with med curriculum. It makes the NBDE look like a first grade math test.
