hello ppl .....when i check my nbme portal it just says exam adminstred and I dont see any scores ....I took cbse through ASDA for dental anesthesiology programs....how do i check for my scores ?? did y all get an email from nbme?

I’ll give a write up because it helped me looking at previous ones
82 EPC, started studying lightly over this last summer and really got into it starting in august. Used UWORLD, bootcamp, sketchy pharm micro and Pathoma. Studied chapters 1-6 of pathoma over the summer and then started bootcamp systems that correlated with dental school classes. Went over the bootcamp videos then added systems to UWORLD as I finished them. Got through most of UWORLD, but took it slow and reviewed throughly each question and similar topics. Quality matters. I memorized most of the NBMEs the last few weeks and found this really helpful. Not that the questions are identical, there are only a few identical repeats, but the topics are just so similar that if you study all the NBMEs in depth youre gonna understand what the question is looking for just from the first few words of the question stem. My NBMEs were in the high 60’s and low/mid 70’s for reference, and i felt so comfortable answering the questions on the real deal because of how familiar most of them seemed.

Can you expand slightly on how you studied UWORLD effectively? Also, when you say you memorized the NBMEs, what exactly do you mean by this? Like you memorized the case presentation or the answers or the concepts tested or what?

Sure. I found it important to not only go through the topic a UWORLD question was testing on, but similar topics. For example, if the question was describing a small vessel vasculitis, I would go though my notes and review ALL the vasculitis slides I had. That way I was learning and reviewing more information and covering breadth of topics. I didn’t do anki, so this i felt like was especially helpful in continuously reviewing information. In another sense, reviewing this way makes it so you’re practicing active recall instead of learning more things for the first time (if for example I didn’t remember anything on a different type of vasculitis, I would learn it through this review and then be able to practice applying knowledge when another UWORLD vasculitis question came up). It definitely takes longer to do UWORLD this way, especially early in your studies, but I think it’s well worth it. For NBMEs, there’s a pattern on topics they ask about, how they phrase questions, and there’s even some repeats. I think spending a few weeks going over and not just memorizing but studying the topics is very helpful for the real deal.

Was just wondering if anyone here has any advice regarding making time to study for CBSE while also doing well in dental school. I (D2) have a hard time finding a balance...

Wake up early, stay up late, study on lunch breaks. Kinda just whenever you have time

Set a realistic weekly goal of how many questions you want to have done by the end of the week for UWorld, that way if you fall behind you can make it up on a day where you have more time. The weekends and breaks from school are where you make the most progress and its a really hard pill to swallow when your friends are going out or sipping on margaritas in cancun for spring break. If there is a will, there is a way.

Did you find a way to check your scores? I also signed up for the CBSE through ASDA and was wondering if they send the scores directly to the DA programs. I heard there’s two ways to send them and one way is better but I forgot what those were
