NBME Practice Exams vs. UWorld Self Assessments

I'm looking for some advice on whether or not I should buy the USMLE World self-assessment exams to use for practice or use only the ones from the NBME. Has anyone who used UWorld self-assessments comment on their validity as a practice exam and indicator of score? I'm sure the UW assessments are fine as qbank supplements, but do they suffice as timed simulated exams? I just don't want to spend the extra $ on them if I'll end up buying more NBME exams to replace them.

our 'step 1 coach' said that the NBMEs are better for predicting your score, I don't have a basis for a personal opinion

I took both self assessments last month. In my opinion, if you are trying to save a few bucks, they are not necessary and are not as strong predictors as NBME. Furthermore, you'll end up doing one or two NBMEs anyway. On the other hand, they are 368 extra Uworld questions that may be worth reviewing.
