I just took it and I thought the real thing was easier -- if you have the stamina to stick to it. The real thing had some sections that were as tough as the NBMEs -- but some of the sections were also very easy.
Why does the real exam require more effort if it is, in fact, LESS difficult than the NBME minis? Do you mean just extra stamina/endurance?? How large ewas the difference in difficulty? I thought the 2 NBME minis that I took were brutal but, for Step 1, I thought the real test was harder!
