...in the Step 1 information bulletin

Are they at all representative of the "real thing"? Or, are they designed to give you a sense of false security a few days before the exam?

Generally-speaking, they give a sense of false security. I took them over a year before my Step I and I got 85%. Most people do at least 80-85% on these questions.

I had the same feeling when I got 7 wrong out 150 😡

I wonder why they do it.

Only if you want to waste your time. This test makes the CBSE look difficult.

I think it couldn't hurt, especially because they're free and they take up minimal time. We all did them, so that should tell you something.
