NCPA will be launching a forum here on SDN in a little under a month. We are looking for NCPA members and officers who are already on SDN to help get the area ready for launch and to help facilitate discussion. If you are interested, please post here or shoot me a PM.

I think it's a bit wasteful for a prof. organization to have its own forum.

Also, if NCPA has one, then why not APhA, ASHP, ACCP, and others?

That's a GREAT idea. Then they can come see first hand people like Zpack, Priapism, me, and others call them sellouts that are contributing to the downfall of the profession. I'm sure that'll go SO smoothly!

Thanks, njac. 🙂

NCPA was offered a private forum because they are an organizational partner. We aren't going to make forums for everything under the sun because it would be wasteful. But, it's not wasteful if the forum is well utilized. There are staff at NCPA dedicated to facilitating content development and directing their student members to the forums, so we hope to have some decent traffic.

WVU, since we will be getting some new members as a result of the forum placement, so you, Z, and Priapism should have some new people to have those quality clinical discussions with. NCPA focuses mainly on independent pharmacy, so I doubt they will feel personally attacked if you rag on general retail pharmacy.

Hmmm. I think that there will now effectively, though not officially, be "community/retail" and "clinical/hospital/other" sections on SDN. The retail discussion would naturally gravitate over there, I'd figure. I'd be cool with that, honestly. We could weed out all of the corporate-pharmacy related threads like "How much will CVS pay me in Sioux Falls/Idaho" that pop up all the time.

Weed out all of those posts and there will be like two posts left on here. Of course the two post left would be kinetics homework questions. Weed out those and there would be nothing.....

Hey, I'm hurt! Of course there would be something left. There would still be the "time wasting" threads, notably my inspired "What do you imagine SDNers sound like?" thread.

know Pharmacists that live in countries like:
Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala,Honduras,
Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago ,Venezuela.
If you know some one between your contacts or the way to contact them can you tell me please?

Oh no, are you one of those people who think that independently owned pharmacys can't make it and are destined for failure?

I hope not, otherwise you'd be living under a rock.
