First a disclaimer.....I have NOT received anything from N.C. State. I'm guessing you guys aren't checking your mail today, or at least aren't posting about it. I don't currently live at my permanent address (parents house) and thus depend on you guys to let me know if anything was received. I guess everyone's a little discouraged after Rabidus' post. Here's to hoping for next week.

Ahhh...the waiting is terrible!! I also dont live near my permanent address, and it typically takes mail 2 days to get from raleigh to my house....needless to say my parents on the mail duty! haha The lady I talked to earlier in the week sounded certain they would be sending out letters today...and i know they send out acceptances first due to my experience with last years cycle.... so here is to hoping we will start hearing news soon! Good luck!
 
laurauva2009, my heart started beating so fast when I saw this bumped. I guess they are in fact going to send letters out on Monday. Granted, no one else has posted yet so it's still a possibility...but I'm not banking on it. Here's to hoping that by this time next week we'll know :xf:
 
nothing here either. I guess I was misinformed when I called. sigh....this completely sucks!
 
Well it's decision week. Sorry for pointing out the obvious but I just can't help it. I am about to go insane. I figured it wouldn't bother y'all though. Some of my facebook friends are a little annoyed by my obsessiveness. 😀
 
I guess it will be Tuesday then.... unless perhaps they got them out on Friday, but not before the mail came, so they were sent out yesterday and could arrive tomorrow...wishful thinking.

I feel like each extra day of waiting is taking a year off of my life. I can't tell you how hard my heart was beating when I drove to my parents house after work yesterday only to find nothing more interesting than a VS catalog in the mail.
 
Oh laurauva2009, tell me about it. Funny thing, I've been getting calls from several 919 (Raleigh) numbers last week and for some reason every time I was unable to answer them. I started to think that maybe it was the school trying to call me (even though I know they don't call IS). I later found out it was the alumni association calling for money. Lol. I also hope that they were sent on Friday and arrives Monday. Either way, I'm off until Thursday so I'll be doing some major lurking here and bothering the heck out of my parents (permanent address is there).
 
So I guess we shouldnt expect anything in the mail tomorrow -- just wait for Tuesday?

so do you guys think they are sending them ALL out monday (accepted,waitlist,rejected)....since the timline states by march 15th the letters would be sent? or like previous years where they send them out in groups????
 
I would imagine that they would start sending out letters tomorrow (if they already haven't). I still think it will be staggered though (unfortunately). I just believe that it's the way they do it.
 
Wishful thinking.....oh well......this is going to be the longest week ever!!!
 
hey sorry to bump the thread, but i figured that this late on a sunday is a pretty safe time to do it. anyway, i just want to wish all of you in-staters the very best of luck! i feel so bad for all of you having to wait this long. i would be going INSANE!!! 😱 hopefully i'll be meeting you soon!

Just curious BuggerDoodle, how far away do you live from the school?
 
I'm close to Charlotte, so it's about 2.5 hours to Raleigh from my house.
 
Oh ok, honestly they probably just sent them off today anyways. My permanent address is in Fayetteville. That's about 1.5-ish hours away from the school.
 
I'm a little less than an hour away (Rougemont, NC) and didn't get anything today. Our mail is also delivered quite early in the day, so I wasn't too hopeful. I figure that if they say letters will be mailed out by the 15th, they mailed out everything today. It's so frustrating because I've heard from all the other schools I've applied to, and I have no idea where I stand because they don't do interviews.

Crossing my fingers for tomorrow.
 
OK...I'm not applying this year (but will next year) but have some info to share. A friend of a friend of mine's mom works in the vet school admissions office. Her mom said that this year all letters were sent in a regular envelope...not in different sized envelopes. This year all paperwork is electronic so all letters are the same size. So everyone should get a regular legal size letter in the next day or so because they were prepared on Friday and put in the mail at 8:00 Monday morning. She seemed pretty sure about this info...

Thanks catlover. I'm sure the information you provided will help stop the freak-outs that would have happened. I know personally I would have been disappointed to receive a small envelope (b/c it happened to me last year). As unlikely as this is...here's hoping that we get letters tomorrow :xf::luck:

I have to work all day today 🙁 So I won't be able to check my mail until 6:30. It's going to be tough to try to stay focused today!

After carefully stalking the mail lady all morning, I got the letter!!!! ACCEPTED!!!! Good luck to everyone the next few days, I can't wait to meet everyone in the class of 2014!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Congrats scottiegirl!!!!!!!!!!! I wont be able to check my mail until after 5:30.......its going to be a loooong day.
 
I live about 2 hours away and there was nothing in my mail. I am so frustrated!
 
Don't feel bad lauraUVA2009, I live under an hour away and didn't get anything in the mail today either. This is so frustrating. My poor sister (who is stuck checking the mail and reporting back to my everyday at lunch) must be getting tired of my texts and calls.
 
I also recieved my letter today. I am waitlisted...not feeling to positive about that. I live about 50 min from the school! The letter was postmarked the 15th. Good luck to everyone still waiting.
 
Sorry to hear that Parrotlove. Apparently, they sent off all the letters at the same time.
 
Hey guys - just wanted to pop in and wish you all luck. I know that this time last year was one of the toughest times in my life - the waiting was awful (I felt nauseated for pretty much 2 weeks straight) and the rejection was a huge blow to my self confidence. Stuff generally works out for the best though! 🙂
