Would it be possible to take the NDBE exam (part I) while still in a BDS program? I wanted to find out because after the first two years of study (pre-clinical) the subject matter would still be in fresh in your mind.

Also, on a side note does anyone know anything about SDM in dharwad and the possibility of becoming accredited down the road. Thanks.

Think you can. But you'll probably need to get ECE evaluation for the subjects and think your dean will have to certify that u have indeed passed those subjects. I am not very sure of it.

Yes, it is possible. A dean's certification is required.

Yes you can, you need to use the certification eligibility form attached to this post, it should be completed by your dean or registrar.

thanks for the info.! I had a few more questions:

1) What is the deans approval recognizing (that I completed a portion of the BDS course??)

2) The 1st year curriculum includes anatomy, dental anatomy, histology, biochemistry, physiology, osteology, second year will focus on oral pathologies and more anat. I think (are there topics in the NDBE that aren't emphasized in BDS)

3) Should I wait until the exam format changes to pass/no pass in 2010?

4) How long do test scores remain valid???

Thanks for your help!!!
