Nebraska's Group Interviews

Does anybody know if Nebraska's interviews are group interviews? Under "interview feedback" some say "in a group" and others say "one-on-one"...so I'm a little confused. Also, would "in a group" imply multiple interviewers or interviewees? I just don't see how or why a school would want to interview multiple students at once...

If anyone interviewed or will be interviewing at Nebraska, your feedback is appreciated. 🙂

Can you please post once you get back from your interview? I really want to know because group interviews sound so scary (whether it is interviewers OR interviewees)...so I will need to be EXTRA prepared if this is the case.

Yeah, just PM me because I will get pretty busy when I get back.
I'm a little nervous as well since it sounds like there will be multiple people in the room and it is my first interview. Hey are you in state or OOS?

I'm OOS and it will be my first interview as well....in a couple weeks so I'm pretty nervous.

hey fellow nebraska applicants. Does Nebraska send you an email etc about your application being complete? I got the snail mail with the information packet and request for app fee.

How soon after you submit that (and they have my DAT scores and AADSAS etc) do they let you know about an interview?

8/11 esubmitted, 8/26 offical DAT scores sent, 8/25 sent the app fee to lincoln

I just got 2 snail mail from them, but I didnt get a packet. I submitted the June 2nd and my DAT scores already there since I took it in February.
BTW, whats in that information packet?

Although is weird that no one has posted anything new in the interview feedback for the last 3 years.

I read some old feedback on an interview and he/she said it was video and quite an uncomfortable experience. Not exactly sure how it is this year though....

Wow that would be awesome if I could schedule it on Friday next week, hopefully that will be open when I call them on Monday.

Why Iowa?
- not too far away from home
- heard good things about it on here
- not a big city type of place

Those are my real reasons for applying there. I don't think they're looking for anything too crazy. I doubt any reasons you have for going there would be looked upon unfavorably. Unless you say something involving the phrase "hot chicks" or "getting hammered," I think you'll be in the clear so just be honest.

While interviewing last fall, a group of students were given a presentation, tour of the school, and lunch as a group, but the interviews were done individually with 3 interviewers. That is, one interviewee with three interviewers.

Here is some feedback. Get there, presentation, tour, interviews (2 interviewers with each applicant), and lunch with D2s.
Interview was laid back with standard questions such as tell me more about yourself, how did you study for the DAT, talked about a previous job and area where I live, what schools applied to, what is the top choice.
They know your file well and thats where they get some of their questions from also.

I just scheduled my interview for mid-september. It'll probably be my first one so that's good that it's laid back.

And by the way, do they give you all the financial information right there?

I see different tuition and fees in every resource I look at for all the schools I've applied to, and I want to have something in writing so I know exactly how much it will cost when I leave there. I was just curious if they give this to you while you are there or if you have to ask for specifics.
